A 27-year-old man was charged Tuesday with murder in the stabbing death of another man at a gas station in Santa Ana in August.
Authorities have so far declined to make public any possible motive for the killing.
Logan James Cunningham of Long Beach, who was arrested Friday, was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon. He was being held on $1 million bail and also faces a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon.
Cunningham was accused of stabbing to death 40-year-old Jason Paul Torres of Costa Mesa on Aug. 7 at a Shell Gas station at 710 E. Dyer Road, near Grand Avenue and the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway, according to Santa Ana police.
Cunningham was arrested following a domestic disturbance in Long Beach on the following day, but he was released as detectives continued their investigation into the stabbing, police said.
