A 29-year-old Costa Mesa man led police on a car chase Sunday before he was found hiding in a house and arrested for suspected drunken driving, evading police and multiple outstanding felony warrants.
The chase began when officers tried to stop Joshua Wright about 3:30 a.m. for driving with his headlights off in the 2200 block of Fairview Road, but Wright allegedly refused to stop and began circling the nearby neighborhoods at high speeds, according to the Orange County Register.
Wright eventually stopped his car and ran into a house in the 2200 block of Avalon Street, according to the newspaper. Police entered the home and found Wright hiding in the shower.
