A murdered man’s body was found Monday in an Anaheim industrial park, and security cameras showed the victim being pulled at midnight from a mysterious vehicle and dumped near a trash bin.
The man, who was in his 20s, was discovered dead near a trash bin in the commercial area in the 1600 block of Sinclair Street about 6:30 a.m., said Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
The man apparently had suffered some sort of trauma, but other details were not being released, Wyatt said.
A business owner in the industrial park said a surveillance camera on the outside of his building captured images of the body being dumped just before midnight by someone who pulled up in a “Suburban-style vehicle” without license plates. He said the person’s head was covered.
Raymond Berry told reporters the surveillance camera takes a photo every 10 seconds.
“It showed him getting out and … starting to do it (pull the body out),” he said. “It kicked off on the part when he was removing the body and it went back on when he was pulling away.”
He said the surveillance images have been turned over to police.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
