A man was fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle while walking in a Garden Grove crosswalk, authorities said Sunday.
It happened about 6 p.m. Saturday, in the 12500 block of Haster Street, said Garden Grove police Lt. Amir El-Farra.

The deceased was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital where he later died, according to Garden Grove police Lt. Tom DaRe. The victim’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
“It appears the vehicle was negotiating a northbound turn onto Haster Street from Lampson Avenue when it struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk,” El- Farra said.
The driver remained at the scene and it did not appear that alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, he said.
