A 21-year-old woman was charged Tuesday with murder in the fatal stabbing of a man in Costa Mesa.
Amber Joy Angelovic, who was being held on $1 million bail and listed her occupation in jail records as “sales,” was expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
The charge includes a sentencing enhancement allegation for the personal use of a deadly weapon.
Angelovic is accused of fatally stabbing a man, whose full identity has not been released, shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Shasta Lane. The victim was identified only as Derek V. on the criminal complaint.
Authorities said all of the victim’s relatives had not yet been notified.
Police were called about 5:20 a.m. Saturday to a two-story apartment building, where they found the victim, who was in his 30s, with “severe injuries,” according to Costa Mesa police.
Angelovic was arrested at the scene.
