Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire Saturday that damaged a Fountain Valley strip mall.
A prime tenant of the strip mall is Samurai Burrito that combines Mexican food with Japanese cuisine. It wasn’t known if the restaurant was damaged by the flames. Samurai Burrito also operates a couple of food trucks in Orange County.
The flames were reported at 3:32 a.m. at 18932 Brookhurst Street, near Garfield Avenue, according to a Metro Net Fire dispatcher. The fire was knocked down in a little more than an hour.
No injuries were reported, she said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
