Two men were hospitalized in critical condition Monday after a shooting on a Santa Ana street, authorities said.

One man was shot in the lower torso, fell into the street and was struck by a car whose driver stopped at the scene, said Santa Ana police Cmdr. Matt Sorenson. The second man was shot in the upper torso about 30 yards south of the first man, the commander said.

No suspect information was available, Sorenson said.

Investigators were at the scene looking for witnesses after the Sunday attack and Bristol Street was closed between Warner Avenue and Hemlock Way for most of the night.
