A 20-year-old Sacramento woman has been charged with attacking two people during a March Trump rally at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, authorities announced Friday.

Jessica Aguilar was charged Thursday with two misdemeanor counts of battery, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. She faces up to a year in jail if convicted at trial.

About 2,000 people gathered for the “Make America Great Again” rally on March 25. The event drew some protesters and violence broke out.

Aguilar allegedly slapped one man and punched another man in the face, prosecutors said.

State Parks police turned over evidence of physical conflicts in four other cases, but prosecutors declined to file charges because it would be too difficult to prove in court who started the fight, prosecutors said.
