A gun went off as a resident struggled with an intruder Thursday at his Brea home, but it was not immediately clear if anyone was injured, police said.
Officers were called at 1:21 p.m. to 580 N. Brea Blvd., where the resident confronted an apparent burglar in his garage, said Brea police Lt. Santo Porto.
“The victim confronted the suspect, they fought over a gun and it went off,” Porto said.
