
A 20-year-old Fullerton man was arrested Thursday in connection with a stabbing at a Brea park.
Joseph Angel Olvera was arrested when detectives served a search warrant about 5:15 p.m. at a residence in Fullerton, police said.
The male victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the stabbing, which occurred shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arovista Park in the 500 block of West Imperial Highway, according to Brea police.

“During the service of the search warrant, detectives seized evidence and took Olvera into custody,” according to a police statement.
Olvera was booked at the Orange County Jail and was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, police said.
According to police, a witness called authorities at 1:52 p.m. Tuesday to report a person yelling that he had been stabbed at the park. Officers responded but were unable to find a victim or a suspect.
The male victim called police about 2 p.m. and said he was at a hospital being treated for a stab wound. Officers interviewed him at the hospital, but police did not release his name or age.
Police had released a suspect photo on social media on Wednesday. They said at the time that the victim and the suspect were believed to be acquainted.
