A man robbed a Santa Ana Verizon Wireless store of cash and electronics but no one was injured.
The robbery occurred at 1730 E. 17th St., said Santa Ana Police Cmdr. Matt Brown.
The man entered the store Thursday around closing time and lifted his shirt to display a gun in his waistband, Brown said.
He then ordered the employees to the back of the store and demanded they open the safe. He took off in a dark SUV with cash, phones and tablets, Brown said.
No customers were believed to be inside the store during the robbery. The value of what the robber took was to be determined by the store’s employees, Brown said.
A description of the robber was not immediately available.
