Police Monday released surveillance video of a suspect being sought for pistol-whipping a 7-Eleven employee in Buena Park during a robbery.
Police hope someone will recognize the robber, who held up the store at 8495 Western Ave. about 10 p.m. Sunday, and contact detectives, according to Buena Park police Sgt. Mike Lovchik.
After pistol-whipping the clerk, the robber took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and ran away, Lovchik said. The clerk was taken to an area hospital to be treated for injuries that were not considered life- threatening, according to police.
The suspect is Latino, 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-7 and 165 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, black jacket with a gray hood, gray Dickies- style pants and black-and-white Vans shoes.
Anyone with information was asked to call police at (714) 562-3901.
