A fourplex caught fire Sunday in San Juan Capistrano, but the non-injury blaze was extinguished by firefighters from the Orange County Fire Authority.
Firefighters responded about 1:45 p.m. to the two-story building in the 32000 block of Paseo Carolina, OCFA Capt. Daryll Milliot said.

“The fire started on the ground floor, but quickly spread to the second floor,” Milliot said. The OCFA sent about 35 firefighters, six engines, two truck two fire investigators and two battalion chiefs along with a medical unit.
The building’s occupants managed to get out before firefighters arrived, he said.
The flames were extinguished by about 2:50 p.m.
A total of 17 adults and one child were displaced by the fire, Milliot said.
