A 31-year-old woman was killed early Monday in a three-car crash on the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway in Tustin.
The motorist, whose name was not immediately released, was speeding northbound on the freeway, north of Warner Avenue, about 12:30 a.m. when the 2015 Lexus she was driving slammed into a 2014 Toyota, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Lexus spun out of control and ended up in the fast lane, where another car crashed into it, according to the CHP.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the other drivers — a 24-year-old Placentia man — was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center to be treated for a fractured pelvis, according to the CHP.
