The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent Thursday to $3.635, one day after rising two-tenths of a cent.

The average price has recorded three consecutive slight increases and is 1.6 cents more than one week ago and 58.8 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. However, it is eight-tenths of a cent less than one month ago.

The average price has risen 48.5 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose a half-cent to $3.574, one day after increasing by two-tenths of a cent. It is 2.3 cents more than one week ago and 55.7 cents higher than one year ago but 1.3 cents less than one month ago. It has risen 45.8 cents since the start of the year.
