Orange County Supervisor Lisa Bartlett was sworn in Friday as the newest member of the South Coast Air Quality Management District Governing Board.

Bartlett said it was a “great honor” to be appointed to serve as Orange County’s representative on the board of the air pollution control agency for Orange County and major portions of Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

“I look forward to working with my colleagues on SCAQMD toward greater air quality for Orange County and the entire South Coast Basin,” she said.

Bartlett was elected to the Orange County Board of Supervisors in 2014 and re-elected in 2018 to represents the Fifth District, which includes cities and communities in South Orange County.

In addition to her role as chairwoman of the Board of Supervisors, Bartlett serves on the Orange County Transportation Authority’s Board of Directors, Orange County Fire Authority Board of Directors, Transportation Corridor Agencies and Orange County Local Agency Formation Commission and is the first vice president of the California State Association of Counties.
