The Orange County coroner has released the name of a 61-year-old man who was killed in a head-on crash in Anaheim that critically injured four other people.
The crash occurred at about 7:35 p.m. Sunday on Cerritos Avenue, Anaheim Sgt. Daron Wyatt said. The crash shut down Cerritos Avenue between Dallas Drive and Whitegate Road for the death investigation.
One man was in one vehicle and four other men were in the second vehicle, Wyatt said. All five were taken to a hospital for treatment. They were all listed in critical condition. Ricardo Monroy, 61, of Anaheim died at UC Irvine Medical Center, the coroner’s office said.
An investigation into the crash was underway.
