The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped four-tenths of a cent Thursday to $3.671 after decreasing two-tenths of a cent each of the past two days.
The average price is four-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 4.9 cents more than one month ago and one-tenth of a cent higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 28 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent to $3.635 one day after decreasing four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.6 cents less than one week ago but 3.6 cents more than one month ago and 1.8 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 28.6 cents since the start of the year.
