Someone at an Arco gas station in La Palma made a 911 call Saturday to report the discovery of a decomposing body near an on-ramp to the Artesia (91) Freeway.
The call was made sometime before 10:52 a.m. to report that the body was near an on-ramp to the eastbound freeway at Orangethorpe Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A Sigalert was issued at 11:34 a.m. closing down the Orangethorpe Avenue on-ramp to the eastbound freeway and a representative from the Orange County Coroner’s Office was called out to the location at 11:43 a.m.
