An 83-year-old bicyclist who was struck and killed by a SUV in Laguna Niguel was identified Wednesday by the Orange County coroner’s office as Robert Calvin.
The crash occurred about 9:55 a.m. March 5 at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Awma Road, the coroner’s office reported.
Calvin, a Laguna Niguel resident, was taken to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo where he died about 50 minutes later, according to the coroner’s office.
It was not immediately known if the driver was cited.
The crash was being investigated by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
