Temperatures again will climb into the 90s Tuesday in some valley areas of L.A. County.

The weather is developing according to fairly normal summertime patterns, forecasters said.

Temperatures will ramp up starting Friday, reaching the low 100s, 6 to 8 degrees above normal in the San Fernando and Antelope valleys by the weekend, because of high pressure, said National Weather Service meteorologist Curt Kaplan.

Off the coast, a small craft advisory issued as a warning to novice sailors to stay in port will be in effect from 3 p.m. Tuesday to 3 a.m. Wednesday amid conditions expected to be hazardous to small vessels.

The NWS forecast a mix of sunny and partly cloudy skies in L.A. County Tuesday and highs of 78 at LAX; 79 on Mount Wilson; 80 in Avalon; 83 in Long Beach; 85 in Downtown L.A.; 90 in San Gabriel and Burbank; 91 in Pasadena and Saugus; 95 in Woodland Hills; and 96 in Palmdale and Lancaster. Highs could reach the 100s Friday, forecasters said.
