A 64-year-old pedestrian who was fatally struck by an SUV in Mission Viejo Sunday was identified by the Orange County coroner’s office.
The crash that killed Marty Mannani of San Juan Capistrano happened on a street about 7:35 p.m., the coroner’s office reported.
Mannani died on the street 12 minutes later, the coroner reported.
It was unclear if Mannani was in a crosswalk when he was hit and no word as to whether the driver was cited.
The crash was being investigated by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
