A crash between a pickup truck and a taco truck in Santa Ana left two people hospitalized Friday morning in unknown condition.
Firefighters responded at about 12:30 a.m. to the intersection of Broadway and Warner Avenue and found a taco truck that had been involved in an accident and had its propane tank ruptured, according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. John Bodo, who added the leak was quickly stopped.
At a McDonald’s restaurant a short distance away at Warner Avenue and Main Street, firefighters found the pickup truck overturned in a parking lot, after striking a tree.
The two passengers inside had gotten out of the truck and were taken to a hospital, Bodo said.
The driver of the taco truck declined to go to a hospital.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
