A respiratory care therapist pleaded not guilty Wednesday to repeatedly sexually assaulting a girl in Costa Mesa for a decade.

Sergio Arroyo Miralrio is charged with three counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a minor younger than 14, four counts of sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child 10 years or younger, a count of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger, three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child younger than 14 or seven years younger than defendant, three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child: sodomy, two counts of rape, two counts of sodomy by force of a victim 14 or younger, two counts of lewd acts on a child 14 or 15, and two counts of attempted forcible oral copulation of a minor 14 or older, all felonies.

The alleged sexual assaults occurred from September 2009 through September 2019, according to court records.

Prosecutors from the Attorney General’s Office on Friday filed a motion to suspend Miralrio’s license as a respiratory care therapist while his case is pending.

Miralrio entered his plea in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana and was ordered to return to court Dec. 16 for a pretrial hearing at the West Justice Center in Westminster.
