The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.677, one day after decreasing three-tenths of a cent.

The average price is 1.3 cents less than one week ago but unchanged from one month ago and $1.526 higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 3.9 cents since hitting the record high of $4.716 on Nov. 27.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County dropped three-tenths of a cent Thursday to $4.645, one day after it was unchanged.

A six-day streak of decreases to the Orange County average price totaling 1.8 cents ended Wednesday. It is 1.9 cents less than one week ago, a half-cent less than one month ago and $1.513 higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped 4.3 cents since moving within one-tenth of a cent of equaling its record high Nov. 26.
