The Orange County Sheriff’s Department Sunday sought the public’s help in locating the vehicle that fatally struck a woman in Stanton and its driver who fled the location.
The deadly hit-and-run crash occurred at about 2:45 a.m. at Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The motorist fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival. It was not immediately known if the pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, died at the scene or at an area hospital.
The vehicle was described as a 2007-09 Toyota Camry. Its color was not specified.
