The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday for the 57th time in the last 58 days, falling 1.1 cents to $5.006, its lowest amount since July 25.
The average price has dropped $1.309 over the past 58 days, including eight-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 8.5 cents less than one week ago, 46 cents lower than one month ago and 14 cents cheaper than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.488 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 26th time in 27 days, inching down two-tenths of a cent to $4.849, its lowest amount since July 3. It has dropped 36.6 cents over the past 27 days, including nine-tenths of a cent Saturday.
The Orange County average price is 8.8 cents less than one week ago, 43 cents lower than one month ago and 17.6 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has dropped $1.61 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 59th consecutive day, falling six-tenths of a cent to $3.253. It has dropped 58.3 cents over the past 59 days, including six-tenths of a cent Saturday.
The national average price is 6 cents less than one week ago, 27.8 cents lower than one month ago and 31.3 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has dropped $1.763 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
