The seasons’s holiday festivities will continue at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway next weekend as Santa Claus stops by to spend time with families.
Those who missed Mr. Claus this past weekend at the Breakfast With Santa event and annual tree-lighting ceremony can catch him when he visits the Tramway’s Mountain Station Pines Cafe from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, according to tramway spokeswoman Madison Morgan. His visit will be included in the general tram fare admission.
During Santa’s visit, children will have the opportunity to share their Christmas lists with him, pose for photos and enjoy a free candy cane, she said.
The festivities will continue with special holiday dining menus on Christmas and New Year days at the tramway’s Pines Cafe and Peaks Restaurant and choir performances scheduled throughout December. However, families were advised that from Dec. 23 to Jan. 7, 2024, the tramway will operate on a modified schedule with the first tram going up at 8 a.m. and the last tram down at 9:30 p.m.
“In these trying times, what a holiday blessing it will be for us all to come together in peace and harmony to share the shining light on our beautiful mountain,” Chapman said in a statement. “Peace on Earth and goodwill to all.”
