The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday for the 23rd consecutive day and 26th time in 27 days, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $5.348, its highest amount since Oct. 31.

The average price has risen 41.8 cents over the past 27 days, including 1.5 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose three consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent March 18 and resumed increasing March 19.

The average price is 16.4 cents more than one week ago, 41.3 cents higher than one month ago and 41.4 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.146 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The run of increases to the Orange County average price was also extended to 23 consecutive days and 26 times in 27 days, but barely, increasing one-tenth of a cent to $5.314, its highest amount since Oct. 24. It has risen 43.5 cents over the past 27 days, including 1.4 cents Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 16.4 cents more than one week ago, 42.8 cents more than one month ago and 40.2 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.145 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the eighth consecutive day, increasing 1.1 cents to $3.619. It has risen 8.4 cents over the past eight days, including 1 cent Tuesday.

The national average price is 7 cents more than one week ago, 22.5 cents higher than one month ago and 1.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.397 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
