The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent Thursday to $4.609, a day after rising seven-tenths of a cent.

The average price increased 11 times in the past 13 days, and is 3.1 cents more than one week ago, four-tenths of a cent more than one month ago and 79.5 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.885 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $4.538, a day after rising 1 cent.

It is 3.3 cents more than one week ago, 1.8 cents more than one month ago and 82.4 cents less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.921 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped nine-tenths of a cent to $3.308, a day after dropping eight-tenths of a cent. It was the 20th decrease in the past 21 days.

It is 5.3 cents less than one week ago, 16.4 cents less than one month ago and 50.3 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.708 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
