The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 1.8 cents Sunday to $4.647, its highest amount since July 22.

The average price has increased 14 of the last 15 days. It is 11.8 cents more than one week ago and 19.5 cents more than one month ago, but 8.2 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped $1.847 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose for the 13th consecutive day, increasing 1.9 cents to $4.622, its highest amount since July 18. It is 14 cents more than one week ago and 22.2 cents more than one month ago, but 6.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.837 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.136. It is 3.8 cents more than one week ago and 6.7 cents higher than one month ago, but 3 cents less than a year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.88 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
