The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County decreased for the sixth consecutive day Sunday, ticking down two-tenths of a cent to $4.872.
The average price is 5.2 cents less than one week ago, 20.7 cents more than one month ago and 51.3 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.622 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the seventh consecutive day, falling three-tenths of a cent to $4.813. It is 7.6 cents less than one week ago, 18.6 cents more than one month ago and 53.1 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.646 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the eighth time in the last nine days, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $3.189. It is 6.9 cents less than one week ago, 11 cents more than one month ago and 44.4 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.827 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
