The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County inched up two-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.65, one day after the end of a streak of 17 consecutive decreases that had dropped it to its lowest amount since Feb. 8.
The average price is 4.4 cents less than one week ago, 17.6 cents less than one month ago and 17 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.843 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent for the second consecutive day, to $4.566. It is 3.9 cents less than one week ago, 20.2 cents less than one month ago and 12.7 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.892 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price inched up two-tenths of a cent to $3.135, its fifth consecutive slight increase. The national average price is 1 cent more than one week ago, but 5.7 cents less than one month ago and 31.6 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.881 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
