The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday for the seventh consecutive day, increasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.448.
The average price has risen 9.1 cents over the past seven days, including 1.3 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 2.4 cents more than one month ago but 9.7 cents less than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $2.046 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also rose for the seventh consecutive day, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.358. It has risen 11.5 cents over the past seven days, including 1.3 cents on Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 4.8 cents more than one month ago, but 14.6 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.101 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose for the third consecutive day, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.887. It has dropped 1.7 cents over the past three days, including eight-tenths of a cent Tuesday. The streak of rising prices began one day after a four-day streak of decreases totaling 1.8 cents ended when it was unchanged.
The national average price is eight-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 7.3 cents higher than one month ago, but 22 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.129 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
