The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday to its highest amount since Oct. 5, 2023, increasing 2.5 cents to $6.084.
The average price has risen seven consecutive days, increasing 16.4 cents, including 1.8 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The streak of increases follows a 14-day streak of decreases totaling 12.8 cents.
The average price is 9.7 cents higher than one month ago and $1.303 higher than one year ago. It is 41 cents less than the record $6.494 set on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since Oct. 4, 2023, increasing 2.6 cents to $6.046. It has increased eight consecutive days, rising 19.9 cents, including 3 cents Tuesday.
The streak of rising prices began one day after the end of a run of 12 decreases in 13 days totaling 13.2 cents. The Orange County average price is 19.4 cents more than a week ago, 12.3 cents higher than one month ago and $1.308 above what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price is 41.3 cents less than the record $6.459 set Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose to its highest amount since July 30, 2022, increasing 5.3 cents to $4.229. It has risen seven consecutive days, increasing 20.9 cents, including 6.5 cents Tuesday.
The national average price is 24.9 cents more than one month ago and $1.068 cents higher than one year. It is 78.7 cents less than the record $5.016 set June 14, 2022.
