The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday for the 26th time in 27 days, falling nine-tenths of a cent to $5.764, its lowest amount since March 20.
The average price has fallen 45.1 cents over the past 27 days, including 3.3 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 15.1 cents less than one week ago and 46.4 cents less than one month ago, but $1.115 more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 31st time in 32 days, falling 1.2 cents to $5.629, its lowest amount since March 18. It has dropped 56.3 cents over the past 32 days, including 3.3 cents Saturday. The Orange County average price is 16.4 cents less than one week ago and 56.2 cents less than one month ago, but $1.067 more than one year ago.
The national average price dropped for the 24th consecutive day, decreasing 1.2 cents to $4.074, its lowest amount since April 24. It has fallen 49 cents over the past 24 days, including 2.2 cents Saturday. The national average price is 10 cents less than one week ago and 46 cents less than one month ago, but 94 cents more than one year ago.
