Southwest Airlines Thursday launched their first non-stop service flight to Sacramento from the Palm Springs International Airport.

The Thursday flight marks the start of their twice-daily service to the California capital from PSP and is the fifth city connected to PSP through nonstop flights by Southwest Airlines, according to airport officials.

“We are thrilled Southwest’s flights between Sacramento to Palm Springs have begun,” said Colleen Pace, Visit Greater Palm Springs Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. “The daily year-round service will strengthen the business connection between our destinations, opening up new opportunities to welcome group and leisure visitors into Greater Palm Springs.”

Southwest now connects Sacramento, Las Vegas, Oakland, Denver and Phoenix to PSP through non-stop service and will add Chicago, Dallas, and Portland, Oregon to that service in November.
