One person was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision Monday in an unincorporated area west of Temecula.
The crash was reported at 12:15 p.m. in the 26000 block of Rancho California Road near Via Vueltas, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The California Highway Patrol said an SUV and a sedan were involved in a head-on crash.
Two people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries and another person was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.
A team from the Riverside County coroner’s office was dispatched to the scene, the CHP reported.
