An occupant of a small aircraft that crashed in the unincorporated community of Bermuda Dunes Saturday was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash was reported just after 12:30 p.m. in the 78000 block of Discovery Bay east of Palm Desert, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The injured person was initially trapped inside the wreckage, according to fire officials, and was hospitalized after being freed by first responders.
