Palm Springs City Hall and other city facilities will reopen starting Tuesday, officials announced Friday.
Starting Feb. 15, all facilities and walk-in services will resume for the public with the condition of masks being required indoors, according to city spokeswoman Amy Blaisdell.
The city initially shut down on Jan. 10 due a surge in COVID-19 cases which has since declined, Blaisdell said. The citywide shutdown was expected to last two to three weeks at the time.
City clerk, planning, engineering, building, business license and other services were only available over the phone or by email during the closure.
The closure also applied to the Palm Springs Public Library, which continued to offer pickup services via its Library-A-Go-Go Program.
