A 63-year-old man killed when an off-road vehicle crashed in the unincorporated community of Lakeview was publicly identified by the Riverside County coroner’s office Saturday.
Carey Jones of Perris was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in a dirt field just south of Fifth Street and Yucca Avenue, according to the coroner’s office.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the location at around 8:03 p.m. Friday and discovered an off-road vehicle overturned on the side of the road.
Details about what led to the crash were not released.
