The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Sunday for the ninth time in the last 10 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.459.
The average price is 3.6 cents more than one week ago, but 3.4 cents less than one month ago and $1.229 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.914 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the third consecutive day following a four-day streak of increases, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.201. It is 2.8 cents more than one week ago, but 2.9 cents less than one month ago and 42.7 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.815 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
