Foghat will perform at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Saturday.
The London-formed rock band has been active for more than half a century, best known for the 1975 hit “Slow Ride.”
Drummer Roger Earl is the only remaining member from Foghat’s original lineup, which Saturday consists of Earl, Bryan Bassett, Scott Holt and Rodney O’Quinn. The band recently released a new single, “On Tonsils & Sneakers,” a tribute to original lead singer and guitarist Dave Peverett, who died in 2000.
“When Lonesome Dave sang and played with this band, he gave nothing less than 100%,” Earl told AntiMusic. “All I had to do was have fun playing drums.”
Following Foghat’s 8 p.m. show in the Coachella Valley on Saturday, the foursome will continue their tour, with a pair of shows in Hawaii on the horizon.
