The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Wednesday for the second consecutive day after dropping to its lowest amount since Dec. 29, 2022, rising three-tenths of a cent to $4.327.
The average price is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, 11.4 cents lower than one month ago and 57.9 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.046 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The average price rose two-tenths of a cent Tuesday.
A four-day streak of decreases to the national average price totaling 2.1 cents, including eight-tenths of a cent Tuesday, ended with an increase of three-tenths of a cent to $3.066. It is 1.8 cents less than one week ago, 11.1 cents lower than one month ago and 24.2 cents below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.95 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
