A tanker truck with a load of propane overturned Friday morning on the 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley, snarling morning drive traffic.
The big rig and another vehicle collided at about 5:25 a.m., causing the tanker truck to overturn across two eastbound lanes of Valley Way, the California Highway Patrol said.
A SigAlert was issued at about 5:40 a.m. for the HOV lane and lanes 1 and 2 with traffic diverted off at Valley Way, the CHP said.
Riverside County firefighters remained on the scene until declaring it safe at 7:13 a.m. and the so-called “recovery” process could begin.
