A hiker was rescued Monday after possibly suffering a medical emergency on a Palm Desert trail.
The rescue was reported shortly after 8:20 a.m. Monday on Painter’s Path, a path connected to the Bump and Grind Trail, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
According to Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez, a woman told authorities she was experiencing a medical episode. She was airlifted from the mountain and was taken to Eisenhower Medical Center by ground ambulance.
Identifying information on the hiker was not immediately available, nor was the nature of the emergency.
