The Palm Springs Planning Commission will review Tuesday a proposal to rebuild the American Reproductive Center, the fertility clinic bombed in May 2025 in what authorities described as an intentional act of domestic terrorism.
The commission will consider a development permit application submitted by TJ Property Holdings, doing business as American Reproductive Center, for a 19,347-square-foot, two-story medical office building with associated parking and landscaping, according to city documents.
The project’s ground floor would include a 9,340-square-foot surgery center, while the second floor would house a 9,883-square-foot OB/GYN and fertility clinic.
The buildings damaged in the explosion were removed as part of an FBI investigation and the site currently sits rough-graded and vacant.
On May 17, shortly before 11 a.m., a car bomb exploded at the facility at 1199 N. Canyon Drive, causing extensive damage to the clinic and nearby businesses, injuring four people and killing the 25-year-old bombing suspect.
If approved, the project would next be reviewed by the Architectural Review Committee.
The commission meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way.
