The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Friday for the 36th time in 37 days, falling 2 cents to $5.32, its lowest amount since March 13.
The average price has dropped 73.5 cents over the past 37 days, including 2.7 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped 18 consecutive days, was unchanged June 8 and resumed decreasing the following day.
The average price is 12.1 cents less than one week ago and 68.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 87.4 cents more than one year ago.
The national average price dropped for the 35th time in 36 days, decreasing 1.7 cents to $3.901, its lowest amount since March 19. It has dropped 66.3 cents over the past 36 days, including 1 cent Thursday.
The national average price is 7.2 cents less than one week ago and 59 cents lower than one month ago, but 68.1 cents more than one year ago. It dropped 33 consecutive days, rose two-tenths of a cent Wednesday and resumed decreasing Thursday.
