A motorcyclist was injured during a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning on State Route 60 in Jurupa Valley, authorities said.

The crash occurred at 3 a.m. on the eastbound route, just west of Pyrite Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash involved a man riding a black motorcycle and a blue Mazda sedan, the CHP said.

CHP officers at the scene reported the motorcyclist was against the center divider wall and his bike was in “multiple lanes, in pieces.”

Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to Riverside Community Hospital, where he was being treated for a “bad leg injury,” the CHP said.

It was not immediately known if the motorist driving the blue Mazda sedan was cited or arrested.

The roadway was re-opened at 4:01 a.m.

There was no other information available.
