The Los Angeles Kings on Sunday began what will be one of their longest home stands this season at Staples Center.
The defending Stanley Cup champions took on the Winnipeg Jets Sunday in the first of six games at home and marked up their first win of the season with a 4-1 victory.
The next five home games are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, Oct. 14 | Kings vs. Oilers | 7:30 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 16 | Kings vs. Blues | 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 19 | Kings vs. Wild | 12:00 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 23 | Kings vs. Sabres | 7:30 p.m.
The six-game home stretch represents the King’s second-longest this season. The Kings will play a seven-game home stretch Jan. 3-19.
According to the Kings organization, the team went 24-14-4 at home during the 2013-2014 season.
